Ma’ay
Worldwide Postage Stamps
100 x 70 cm

‘Ma’ay’, the word used to describe water by the Iraqw people of Mbulu district of North West Tanzania.

Created entirely from stamps of the world, the child depicted represents the hope of his people. The shape of Africa is reflected in eyes that shine with the pride of his origins and act as metaphor for the vastness of a continent, the complexities, problems and needs of which many in the world remain ignorant.

100% of the sale of this artwork will go towards Project Waterfall
