"Sirenarum Vocare"
49 x 69 cm

Within my illustrations I am drawn to exploring beneath the surface, I like to capture the sense of wonder and foresee daily.
I portray a parallel universe where mythical tales exist and create a distorted view on reality.
This piece depicts a personal reflection on my own coffee shop experience.  I am an illustrator and also a barista at Starbucks Coffee.
I illustrate using only inks.  I gathered inspiration for this piece from renaissance portraits and ancient mythology.
I have used a woodcut style, influenced by an original wood cut siren placed at the first Starbucks store in Pike Place Market.
