"Pete Seeger"
Acrylic
31 x 22 cm  (framed)

I specialise in portraits of musicians.  This is a tribute to the late Pete Seeger, an influential folk singer and political activist.

From a cultural perspective, coffeehouses and cafes have largely served as centers of social interaction, providing people
with a place to congregate, talk, read, write and entertain.
The political nature of music from the 1960s folk music movement was closely linked to coffeehouses with well known
acts such as Bob Dylan and Joan Baez beginning their careers in the coffeehouses of Greenwich Village, New York.
