I took this photo on a coffee farm in Nicaragua. It shows a collecting point, to where pickers bring the harvested coffee cherries. The fruits are being weighed, bagged and loaded onto a truck and then brought to the next processing point. This one guy particularly impressed me. He loaded one heavy bag after the other onto the truck, not once resting or complaining. It was raining, and it was not the first and not the last collecting point for him. As coffee consumers and professionals, we should always keep in mind, how important the workers on the coffee farms are. The coffee farmers need to appreciate their work. The future of coffee is also dependent on the future of workers and their families.
