The viewer’s eyes are immediately drawn to the dramatic skin color surrounding the eyes in the picture. However, within each eye sits a cup of black coffee, a simple, universal pleasure that many people enjoy across the racial and cultural divisions that are symbolized by the dramatic skin colors in the photograph. Although their skin color is different all the individuals are eyeing the same thing, a cup of black coffee.
