"Coffee Moment"
Mixed Media - Watercolor, watercolor pencils, ink and graphite over wooden panel.
16" x 20"

This piece reflects how within the mayhem of life in New York City, coffee provides a refuge. Coffee offers a moment of tranquility that helps us detach from the constant stimuli of the big city and helps us connect with our thoughts.
This piece is a colorful hyperbole of the daily commute and I have used the elements and movement around the central characters - the girl and the coffee cup - to accentuate that bubble where she experiences this moment of peace.
