"Good Mourning"
Acrylic on Canvas
16 x 20"

Good Mourning takes a more narrow approach towards the journey and symbolism of a single cup of coffee. Attention is immediately captured by what appears to be a nude woman draped in a grey and white blanket. I’ve spread thin amounts of white paint near the windowsill she’s standing next to in order to depict the beginning of a new dawn. As she peers down out of the window she takes a moment to appreciate the considerate gesture left behind for her indulgence. She reminisces choices of the night she’s left behind and contemplates ones for the day that awaits her.
