"Sunday Morning"
Pen and ink
22.86 x 30.48 cm

One Sunday, after recently moving to upper east side, I chose to explore my new unknown streets in hopes of making them my own. Walking a few blocks, I was drawn to the welcoming scene of Variety Coffee Roasters. Tables were occupied with friends catching-up, students preparing for tests, and business partners cultivating new ideas.

The scene, depicted here in the drawing was both inspiring and welcoming. Inspiring for the amount of connection, imagination, and growth that can be triggered by a cup of coffee. Welcoming because I knew I found a place that would be the first step to making the upper east side home.
